Solent

Shipshape Solent acts as a focal point bringing together a number of existing facilities and services in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and West Sussex, including the ship/boat repair/conservation expertise and facilities in the Portsmouth Naval Base and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard; the Maritime Workshops in Gosport; the Boleh project at Southsea; the Cowes workshops on the Isle of Wight; the conservation expertise within Hampshire County Council Museum Services; the work of the Wolfson Unit, Southampton Institute and the wider work of the universities in Southampton and Portsmouth, as well as a range of vessels on the National Register of Historic Vessels.
