Jeremy Rogers Ltd Wins 2011 Practical Boat Owner Green Award

16 September 2011

Exhibited last year at the 2010 PSP Southampton Boat Show, Calypso generated a huge amount of interest.  The Calypso project was a collaboration between Jeremy Rogers Ltd and The Green Blue, the joing BMF/RYA initiative to help boat owners reduce their impace on coastal and inland waters.

"We we were very excited to be so closely involved with Jeremy Rogers and the building of Calypso and to see first-hand how emerging green technologies could become integrated in the classic design of a Contess 32 without compromising quality, safety or performance" said Jane Swan, project manager from the Green Blue.

"We wanted to build a new Contess 32 which could be used as a showcase for some of the great new green products and technology out there" explained Kit Rogers, Jeremy Rogers' son and co-owner of Calypso.  "It was a really interesting project and we are thrilled to have been recognised by PBO for our efforts" he went on.

Jeremy Rogers Ltd is showing their latest Contessa 32 at the Southampton Boat Show.  Persephone, which uses Kebony throughout, can be found on stand M507.
